Eco-textile itinerary Texworld February 2012 (PDF, 358.88 KB)
The demand for sustainable textiles is one of the driving forces in the textile industry. More and more brands, designers and retailers are choosing to work with environmentally responsible suppliers and manufacturers. Since 2007 Messe Frankfurt supports companies adopting sustainable practices in their product range, policies and business strategies, including trough Texworld with the eco-itinerary and the eco-lounge:
Eco Itinerary and Trend Forums
This edition of Texworld showcases about a hundred of organic cotton and linen, hemp, recycled material and other sustainable textiles. Many of them are holding certificates such as GOTS, Organic Exchange, SA8000, WRAP and other standards. A practical “Eco Itinerary” will guide you to all eco suppliers on the trade fair and a selection of sustainable fabrics can be found at the Trend Forum.
Eco Lounge and Sustainability Day
One whole day is reserved for sustainability issues. On Tuesday, 20 September 2011 a selection of organisations such as the RITE Group, GOTS, WRAP and Soil Association will present up-to-date information about ecology, social standards and supply chain transparency. All organisations will be available for further inquiries during the whole trade fair at the Eco Lounge opposite the Trend Forum, Hall 2, Aisle E.
